Double standards of Saffron brigade

If hindu kills innocent people he is nationalist and muslim kills he his terrorist.

this is the bottom line which is i have understood aftermath of Pakistani attack on mumbai.

three ATS officers killed are now become heroes for these saffron people , whom they have branded anti- hindu anti-national

The BJP was particularly upset at the way his investigation exposed a network of “Hindu terrorism.”
Before that, the bombings were quickly blamed on Islamic extremist groups.
Karkare was upset during the last days of his life because of these allegations. Today, he is a hero in the eyes of the very same people who questioned his integrity and allegiance to India.
The BJP Chief Minister for Gujarat province, Narendra Modi, announced Rs. 1 crore (C$250,000) as a posthumous reward to Karkare. The policeman’s widow, however, refused to accept the money.
The way Karkare was treated by the BJP reflects its hypocrisy and bias. The party is comfortable linking Islam with terrorism falls to a double standard when someone exposes extremism within the Hindu ranks.

No less a leader than the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate, L K Advani, had demanded a change in the ATS team and a judicial inquiry into the torture allegations made by Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a key suspect in the Malegaon case.

The Shiv Sena too had come out in support of the suspects and on Wednesday had threatened in its mouthpiece Saamna that it would publish the names of some ATS officers and shame them as it said they had tortured the Malegaon suspects.

Train to Osmanabad

CLICK ON MAP TO SEE CLEARLY

FINALY Osmanabad is on rail map...
since many years there was demand of connecting Osmanabad to rail net work of india..
after great looooong waiting...its now done, what a sigh of relief....
actually, if we see history ... we had already narrow gauge train from kurduwadi to latur ..
track ran just few kms away from Osmanabad ..u can see in the map. click the map so that u v can see in clea ly..
previosly diesel engines wud shuttle down between latur and kurduvadi..
there was no direct connection from any major cities to latur...
some years back work started on turning narrow gauge to broad gauge from kurduvadi to latur
paving new track till osmanabad.

Road and narrow gauge track
diesel engine with two coaches at Barshi
few stations which this old narrow gauge i recollects are tebhurni, shendri barshi ,kuslamb, yedshi ,dhoki, murud,...
i have very sweet memories of this small train... we use to visit my grandma's village Dhoki .
we used to take siddeshwar express from Dadar till Kurduwadi .from there either wait for small diesel train or S T...
Interestingly both road and track run parallely...sometime its was just like track is on road...
it was fun ...i always used to remembar rajesh khanna, song mere sapno ki rani....
speed of train use to be very slow ..we sometimes used to jump to next coach from outside..
main attraction of journey was Ramling ghat near Yedshi...
therz dense forest ,which is rarity in marathwada...we used get excited at the sight of monkeys, peacocks
foxes...one time i was lucky to see bibtya...leopard...

Ramling ghat

that was fun... i really cherish those memories...

now coming back to topic, since last 4-5 years ..in every rail budget making of broad gauge from kurduvadi - latur was mentioned...

i used to wonder when this project is going to complete.

finally 0n 19th october 2008 latur bound train was flagged off from cst Mumbai .

chief minister Vilas rao Deshmukh,Union ministers Shivraj Patil, Sharad Pawar, Shushil Kumar Shinde attended the function.

train for Osmanbad was already started last year via Aurangad..journey was 5 hours extra..

now with this route

The distance from Mumbai CST to Latur will now reduce from 744 kms to 529 kms, saving travelling time by about 5 hours — from 15 hours to 10 hours. The distance from CST to Osmanabad will reduce from 825 kms to 449 kms, almost by half, and the journey will take 7 hours less. Consequently, fares will be cut too...

The 1005 Latur-bound train will leave Mumbai CST at 8:55 pm and arrive at Pune junction at 12:50 am and reach Latur at 7:10 am. and at osmanabad 5:10 am
The 1006 Mumbai CST-bound train will leave Latur at 9:35 pm,will leave osmanbad 10:47 pm reach Pune junction at 3:50 am and arrive at Mumbai CST at 7:55 am.

m eagerly waiting to travel to my watan by this train...hope it comes fast.

finally railway code for Osmnabad is umd and for latur its lur
train no is 1005 from mumbai 1006 from latur..

I will love to post photographs of Osmanabd station..lemme reach there

urdu-language of revolutionaries

urdu was language of revolutionaries...
"Maulvi Mohammad Baaqar, editor, Dehli Urdu Akhbar, who was shot dead on September 16, 1857. So, Baaqar was the first Indian journalist to sacrifice his life for the nation.."
i dint know till recently...our history books in school doesnt tell this..
i only know Gandhiji, Bhagat Singh ,Tilak, Nehru..Also if it says about 1857 ..
we know Tatya Tope, laxmibai.
The British government was af raid of the rebellions Urdu newspapers had the potential to produce. And so the barbarism continued, claiming Maulvi Mohammad Baaqar, editor, Dehli Urdu Akhbar, who was shot dead on September 16, 1857. So, Baaqar was the first Indian journalist to sacrifice his life for the nation.

Mr Masoom Moradabadi editor of JADID KHABAR and KABHARDAR laments that we dont even acknowledge such freedom fighters and role of urdu in freedom struggle.
he has written a book Urdu Sahafat aur Jang-e-Azaadi 1857. it took year to him to write this.
it was released by Vice President Mr Hamid Ansari recently at his residence.

The author pointed out, “One interesting thing I found during my research and have included in the book, is the fatwa signed by 35 ulemas of the time which encouraged people to fight against the system saying ‘jihad (struggle) against the British empire is a part of our imaan (faith)’. There were so many who sacrificed their lives and many who risked their life and property by starting newspapers and other anti-government publications, numbering more than 35, (prominent names listed include Dehli Urdu Akhbar, Sadiqul Akhbar, Payaame Azadi, Tilism, Risala Bhaghawate Hind, Sehar Samri ) that were oppressed under the Gagging Act and left to only 12 by the end of the year 1857.”

i think our history books should also focus on this part, as mulsims, urdu language is seen by people in other perspctive..
